Match of the Round Preview
Orange Tigers vs Dubbo Demons
Time: Saturday May 8, 2:15pm
Ground: Waratah Sports Club
Comments: After both teams suffered a loss in Round 1, the Orange Tigers and Dubbo Demons will look to improve in Round 2 as they face off in Orange. The Tigers were competitive early with the more fancied Round 1 opponents, so expect them to continue to improve particularly in front of their home fans. Meanwhile Dubbo will want to shake off the heavy defeat to the Giants, and stay right on the tail of the two Bathurst sides with victory this Saturday.
This game has the potential to be a cracker so you won’t want to miss it.
Womens
Bathurst Bushrangers vs Bathurst Giants
Time: Saturday May 8, 12:30pm
Ground: George Park 2, Bathurst
Comments: After both team’s performances in Round 1, this game will be hard to pick. Expect another physical and entertaining encounter between the Bathurst Bushrangers and Bathurst Giants as both teams look to stay undefeated.
Orange Tigers vs Dubbo Demons
Time: Saturday May 8, 12:30pm
Ground: Waratah Sports Club
Comments: Both the Orange Tigers and Dubbo Demons will look to put last week’s defeats behind them, as they get another opportunity to play each other in Orange. Don’t count out either team to take the victory this week, and whilst the visitors will likely go in as favourites, a rowdy home crowd could be just what the Tigers need to register their first win of the season.
Men’s Tier 2
Bathurst Bushrangers Rebels vs Bathurst Giants
Time: Saturday May 8, 11:00am
Ground: George Park 2, Bathurst
Comments: The Bathurst Bushrangers Rebels will look to bounce back after losing to the Parkes Panthers in Round 1 whilst the Bathurst Giants will look to continue their form after defeating the Dubbo Demons in Round 1. If the Rebels can improve upon last week’s performance than this should be an exciting encounter. The Giants showed excellent form late in the match as they ran down a 15 point three-quarter time deficit, which bodes well for a repeat this weekend.
Bathurst Bushrangers Outlaws vs Parkes Panthers
Time: Saturday May 8, 11:00am
Ground: George Park 1, Bathurst
Comments: Both the Bathurst Bushrangers Outlaws and Parkes Panthers got wins in Round 1, and will try and stay undefeated for Round 2. This will be a major test for the hosts, who will have confidence off the back of their Round one victory, but the reigning premiers will be a much bigger task. Expect the Panthers to grab their second win of the season here, as they look to take a stranglehold on the division yet again.
Cowra Blues vs Dubbo Demons
Time: Saturday May 8, 2:15pm
Ground: Mulyan Oval, Cowra
Comments: The Cowra Blues begin their 2021 campaign after receiving the bye for Round 1. The Dubbo Demons will look to bounce back after being narrowly defeated by the Bathurst Giants. If you live in Cowra, don’t miss this match. Get down and support the team, as they look to kickstart their campaign.
