AFL Central West has reached a landmark deal with Triple M, with the two iconic brands partnering in season 2023 to further grow the game of Australian rules in the Central West.

In 2023, the junior competition will be named Triple M AFL Central West Juniors, with Triple M committing to expand AFL Central West’s exposure on its radio stations in Dubbo and Orange.

AFL Central West has had strong participation numbers in recent years, with the competition a staple for hundreds of families and friends across the region.

AFL NSW/ACT’s Community Football Manager – ACT & Regional NSW, Steven Mahar, was delighted with the partnership. “Triple M is synonymous with sport and will be instrumental in lifting the profile of AFL Central West this season,” he said. “I’m confident the game will continue to grow at a rapid rate in the central west, thanks to Triple M’s support.”

Southern Cross Austereo’s General Manager, James King said: “We’re thrilled to be working with AFL Central West. Triple M listeners love local sport and with so many participating in AFL, it’s a natural fit for us. Our listeners will be able to hear information about home games and upcoming events, as well as interviews with club members throughout the season. We can’t wait to see how this season unfolds in the senior and junior competitions.”

Triple M AFL Central West Juniors kicks off on Sunday April 30, one day after the senior competitions which commence on Saturday April 29.
